Is Sexual Intercourse a Cause? Can Sex Really Be Bad?

I have covered a lot of topics on this site and I would like to emphasize that pancreatitis isn’t caused by sex and can’t be spread from person to person due to sex. It can be genetically inherited in different conditions, however sexual intercourse can’t cause or spread pancreatitis by itself. I am happy to clear this up because this is one of the most commonly asked questions through email and it was beginning to get frustrating for me to always answer.

Usually if you have pancreatitis the last thing you will want to be doing is sexual intercourse. The reason is your abdomen is always tender and any physical contact or movement will likely cause significant pain. Furthermore kissing can’t transfer pancreatitis between people, it simply can’t be transferred like that. Either you have it and can’t pass it on, or you are genetically susceptible to get it in the future.

The main thing like all illnesses is to stay positive and do everything in your powers to prevent the illness from occurring or coming back. I have had pancreatitis once and i realize i can’t change the past and right now i get bloated and feel a lot worse than before at different times but i do realize I need to look after myself to prevent this condition from worsening. This is why i have created this site and now dedicate myself to studying pancreatitis and all the related subjects that it has. I now try to help others and the extra information I am reading also helps myself. My theory is the more you know about the illness the better prepared you will be to look after your health. I wish you fantastic health and if you are sick at the moment I hope you feel better soon. Make sure to check out the other topics on this site we cover a lot of interesting topics.

Diet Pills and Laxatives Damage the Pancreas and Cause Pancreatitis

I get emailed questions about this each week due to diet pills and laxatives being so popular. These are known to make you lose water weight which give you the instant skinnier look however this is only temporary. Water weight is put straight back on as soon as liquids are consumed. The bad news is diet pills which are most commonly described as laxatives do damage the pancreas and can cause pancreatitis.

Laxatives do substantial damage to the pancreas as they flush all the liquids from the body. The short term effect is for a person to lose liquid weight which is around one to three kilograms. There are hundreds of thousands of cases in which laxatives have caused pancreatitis or other complications to the pancreas.

The message is clear if you are taking laxatives to lose weight then stop because it may help you lose water weight which is only temporary, but it could lead to life long complications. The pancreas is one of the most important organs in the human body and you need to look after its health to ensure you live a long and healthy life.

Laxatives can be purchased over the counter however if you are using these please speak to a medical professional so you understand the potential complications. Laxatives not only cause pancreatitis but they can lead to a long list of other potentially fatal complications. The reason is laxatives aren’t normal for your body and it leads the body to doing something unnatural. I wish you the best of health and if you are taking laxatives or diet pills, or are considering taking them in the future then think twice and avoid a potential complication.

Bulimia and Anorexia Have Both Been Known To Cause Pancreatitis.

Eating disorders such as Bulimia and Anorexia have both been known to commonly cause pancreatitis. Mild acute pancreatitis is a common condition of those suffering from either bulimia or anorexia. Both bulimia and anorexia are extremely damaging eating disorder conditions and a major and dangerous complication of each is pancreatitis. Some people who have bulimia or anorexia get constant pancreatitis however others don’t get it at all. After doing substantial research on the topic the dangers of eating disorders are major.

Usually the instances of pancreatitis are temporary however they can last for a longer period of time. If you know someone who has an eating disorder please get them medical attention as there are also many other dangerous complications which can arise as a result of these conditions. Anorexia is characterised by avoiding food. Food is often rarely consumed by people suffering from anorexia and a family friend who I knew had it would only eat one apple a day. This is extremely common and both bulimia and anorexia can prove fatal due to various complications, such is the importance and danger of these conditions.

This also highlights the fact the bulimia and anorexia need increased awareness. Even though the general public already know what this is, increasing awareness is needed. I have been reading through figures studying information over the past hour to write this post and the large numbers have frightened me substantially. Sufferers of these illnesses will often take laxatives to give themselves diarrhea which leads to a loss of liquid and a lighter weight. Despite this being highly dangerous consuming a substantial amount of laxatives can also lead to pancreatitis.

If you know someone who is suffering from either bulimia or pancreatitis then please try get them help or at least have a chat to them so they can try seek help themselves. Out of all the posts I have done to help readers out this is one of the most frightening topics. Both these disorders have multiple potential complications which can prove fatal for those who have these illnesses.

Does pancreatitis make you fart? Extra Gas Can Be Caused By A Damaged Pancreas.

I have had acute pancreatitis as i have informed you before on this site. After this occurred i noticed I have been farting a lot more. I have a lot more gas at different times of the month. It usually occurs after i eat an unhealthy meal or drink something i shouldn’t have, like a coca cola, however it is still a lot worse then before I had pancreatitis.

It isn’t something that i get all the time, however i do notice it now. Often my office is quiet and my stomach will rumble loudly. I can control it but i have a lot of gas at times. Often i need to go out of the office and burp or use the bathroom more than usual and this usually occurs a couple of times a month. For this post I haven’t done any specific research, however I am letting you know judged on my experiences.

I do get bloated a lot more now and if i eat to much i feel full for a lot longer. If i drink to much water I also get the same bloated feeling so while it is important to continue eating, make sure your meals aren’t to big or they aren’t going to cause you to get increased gas. It is something I need to manage now. Farting is definetely a symptom of having or after having pancreatitis.

It isn’t just the farting or extra gas I notice, my stomach rumblings happen much more frequently and are much louder than before I was sick. While my condition was only acute (still very serious), I imagine extra gas is even worse for those suffering from chronic pancreatitis.

When my stomach rumbles or when I have extra gas i like to buy and drink soda water. Soda water helps settle my stomach down. This does work well and I advise you to do the same if you are like me and you are in a quiet office with a loud rumbling stomach. Once again i will remind you I am not a medical professional, I am simply am another sufferer of pancreatitis. So if you have any further questions, concerns or queries then please go see a pancreas specialist. Your health is so important so it is best to get checked as a precaution and get advice early. So the year is about to come to an end and I will be providing a lot more content in the coming year, which will help you guys out. I wish all my fellow pancreatitis sufferers and everyone in general a great new years break and holiday. I wish you great health.
