The Impact of Sausages. High Fat Meat.

I was cooking sausages regularly several times a week. Eating the food for lunch and for dinner also. They are cheap & easy to cook. I thought Sausages are meant to be healthy. However as soon as I researched this more, I realized this meat was contributing to my bloating sensation. The high fat content of the sausages I was eating wouldn’t have been helping my pancreas either. Which is still recovering. Two years on from my first acute attack.

I would like to point out there is a difference between European sausages, especially German & Hungarian, in comparison to Australian and American sausages. Australian & American sausages are often very high in fat, making this food hard for the organs to digest, especially hard on the pancreas. Whereas German & Hungarian sausages and other European sausages are predominantly higher in protein & lower in fat.

Essentially the most important thing to do is beware that most sausages have high fat levels. As we know the pancreas struggles to break down food with high fat content and food and drinks with high levels of sugar and other toxins. I am sure you are like me and you love eating red meat. I would advise staying with lean cut read meats. These may be expensive but for your overall health they will act as a major positive.

At the moment I am increasing my intake of white meats such as chicken and I am adding salmon and other fish to my diet. Mixed in with substantial amount of vegetables for each dinner serving. I have been minimizing my intake of coca cola also, focusing on just fruit drink & 3-4 litres of water per day. This is working well for me.
